Cabral Bigman-Galimore

Assistant Professor of Medicine and Director of Clinical Simulation at Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. Research and teaching: clinical communication skills in health care trainee education, compassionate communication in health-related organizations, and the use of simulation methodology in health care trainee education. Her most recent research project examines an interprofessional simulation event designed to educate undergraduate medical and graduate nursing students on how to effectively assess and treat patients who have experienced military sexual assault. Administrative: Dr. Clark oversees a team of 6 full time Clinical Educators who manage more than 300 simulation events annually which utilize high fidelity manikins and standardized patient actors that role play with health care trainees in the United States Military. She is also a medical education consultant providing services including developing communication skills curriculum and creating and implementing simulation programs with organizations including: The Academy of Integrative Pain Management, Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, and a new medical school opening in 2019 as a collaboration between Texas Christian University and the University of North Texas in Fort Worth.
